Drop Inn Center :30 PSA

After receiving a creative brief for the Drop Inn Center thirty second PSA spot, I was alarmed at some of the statistics. It was shocking how many homeless people were veterans, mentally ill, or physically disabled. And yet, all homeless people are just like us. They’re people. Instead of beating around the bush, I decided to drop the statistics directly into the spot in a way that we’re not used to seeing them: on cardboard signs. The object of this piece was to humanize homeless people and to inspire donations to the Drop Inn Center. In addition to the script and concept, I coordinated the music with local band, Over the Rhine.
